OK, from what I have been reading, people are going apeshit over this trailer, saying s**t like how great it looks and how awesome this game will be. Do I need to remind you people that this is being touched by SOE, which totally destroyed Star Wars Galaxies? Matrix Online anyone? Remember that no matter how awesome the license, SOE will turn it into a giant steaming turd. Not even Superman can lift that much poo.

Flagship Studios Has Tapped Out

There was rumors of the programmers and artists leaving Flagship Studios en masse, which prompted an executive of that company to pull a Baghdad Bob and assure us that everything was fine:

I hope the programmers, artists, and other hard working game professionals all find many opportunities in the near future. Hellgate: London bombed because it was built and released on a completely unrealistic schedule, even more so than the normal “release now, patch later” philosophy. Good luck in the future folks. There is a rumor (lots of those around these days, someone should start a game news website or something). Anyway, this rumor says that Flagship found new funding, and is shifting it’s focus towards more casual games. Don’t hold your breath though.

Just a note, EA was involved in the whole Hellgate: London thing. That’s all I’m saying. What? No poo references in this one? Did you miss the part where I just mentioned EA? Well, there you go.
