Time for yet another ridiculous patent infringement lawsuit

This is so f*****g stupid that it is pissing me off just to think about it. The latest in the seemingly never-ending string of patent-trolls and ridiculous patent-related lawsuits is the f*******s over at Worlds.com.
See what just happened is that they decided to file a patent infringement lawsuit against NCsoft for infringing on patent 7,181,690. You can read on the details of this patent by clicking here.
Basically what they are claiming is that NCsoft is violating their patent which grants Worlds.com exclusive rights over a virtual space that is interactive and scalable. So yes, they claim sovereignty over EVERY MMO IN EXISTENCE.
But why pick on NCsoft? Why not say, Sony Online Entertainment? After all, they run MMOs too don’t they? Well a quick look over at the Worlds.com website shows us their client list, which you can see by clicking here. What is this I see? Sony is one of their clients? Hmmm…
A quick read of the patent will tell anyone with a brain that it is purposely so broadly written that it was obviously meant to be all inclusive, and this frivolous suit by Worlds.com is just a grab for money. Maybe they could use some of that money to pay a decent web designer, because their site looks like it was created by a retarded monkey.
Come to think of it, anyone with a half-decent PC can build a persistant world using the toolset in Neverwinter Nights. I think I will do that, as I have been recently toying around with Neverwinter Nights 2. Yes, I will launch my own virtual world, and call it “Worlds.com Can Suck My Balls - Online”.
Hopefully they will get a judge with a brain, and not some politically-appointed patsy that will do whatever they are told by the guy with the biggest checkbook.
