Remember battling it out with King Hippo in Nintendo Punch Out!! on NES as a kid? Game after game of yelling at your TV and almost snapping your controller in two, followed by that sweet exhilaration when you finally knocked his tubby ass down? Of course you do, and that’s why you will love these two Wii Punch Out!! Amazon exclusive collectors items as much as I do.
The first is a Little Mac boxing glove that is a replica of the green glove our hero sports in the game. It’s definitely a big ticket item at $89.99, but based on the quality of past Amazon exclusives such as the Gears of War 2 Lancer, this is sure to be an item worth hanging on the wall.
The second is a Heavyweight Contender Kit that contains boxing shorts, a King Hippo crown and more goodies like a mini punching bag for your desk. The kit will set you back $34.99, but you get a TON of cool collectibles in the pack for that price.

A Collector’s Wet Dream: Weta’s Sexy Cortana Replica Figurine

Those geniuses over at Weta Collectibles are offering a pre-order on very sexy and anatomically accurate replica figurine of Cortana from the Halo series. The figurine is slated to be available by Spring of 2009, and Weta is not yet releasing how limited of a edition this will be. At $225, it’s not your average impulse buy, but for those of us who fantasize daily about the blue-ish/clear vixen, it’s a must-have. If you fit that description, and have some cash burning a whole in your pocket, get your butt over to Weta’s website, and grab one of these little honeys while you still can. Supersize your Ar Tornelico 2 pre-order at no extra charge!

Once again, those crazy kids at RosenQueen.com have put together another swag-tastic pre-order bundle. While pre-order bundles frp, RQ in the past have been great, it looks like they’re planning to kick it up a gear and offer some real limited-quantity swag.
Pre-orders are now open for the Ar tonelico 2 “Sacred Army Set” which features not one, but TWO soundtracks and a low-print-run art book.
While you can pre-order AT2 from retail store such as EB/Gamestop, you can only recieve the second sountrack and artbook (with extra pages) through RosenQueen.com. Also, to make sure you get off your ass and pre-order, only 2,000 of the bonus soundtrack CD and Artbook are being printed.
While Ar Tornelico 2 is still a ways off (Mid-December to be exact), it’s probably not a bad idea to get your pre-order in early. For $39.99 + shipping this is a pretty hard deal to pass up.

If you are still in the market for a Halloween costume (the big day is only a month away!) check out this Ebay auction for a Bioshock Big Daddy costume. I’m pretty sure I saw this costume on a forum or game magazine last year for a Halloween video game costume contest, but can’t say for sure. The creator claims he won $500 in a costume contest with this getup last year.

EA gets a case of the runs - announces Mirror’s Edge Bundle for XB360/PS3

Not content with the Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition, EA has announced a online-only bundle for Mirror’s Edge as well.
Available only through the EA Store, the Mirror’s Edge Runner’s Bag Bundle is pretty straight-forward. For $129, you get the game (duh) and a limited edition, uber-grade messenger bag created by Timbuk2 Bags.

Atlus announces 3 schwag-heavy pre-order titles. Working Designs would be proud…

If you’re a schwag/collectible junkie like me, these are the kind of announcements you love seeing.
Atlus has previously announced that Eternal Poison, Luminous Arc 2 and Persona 4 were going to have a Soundtrack CD included with every copy - a pretty generous gesture - since most Soundtracks CDs are only included in a more expensive “Limited Edition” version of the same game
I guess that wasn’t good enough. Atlus announced today via an event “Atlus Spoils” that anyone who pre-orders either of these titles from GameStop or Amazon.com will also receive a bonus art book!

CCP Selling Sweet-Ass Ship Models - Sell your blood if you must.

For years now, players of EVE Online have been clamoring for models of the ships in the game. Really what they have been wanting for the most part is plastic model kits, so they would be more affordable. Instead what we got were some very pricey, but simply gorgeous models of the most common Battleships, one from each of the 4 racial factions.
