Paco’s Quickie Review: Ghostbusters
Posted by HCG Paco | Filed under Quickies, Reviews
Ghostbusters has been a long time coming. We posted our first piece, a leaked Youtube video, way back in February of 2007. Now only 29 short months later we have Terminal Reality’s labor of love, Ghostbusters the Video Game. And it was worth the wait, minus one giant problem.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the Ghostbusters game to see the light of day (what can I say, I’m a child of the 80’s.) Now that the game has been picked up by Atari, it looks like it’s back to full speed ahead for the release in June of 09, and I couldn’t be more excited! Bring on the Stay-Puft marshmallow man! Check out the recently released trailer and drool along with me.

The Ghostbusters Game May See the Light of Day After All
Posted by HCG KP1gL37 | Filed under News
I have been waiting and waiting (and waiting some more) for the Ghostbusters game to finally be released. There was much delay, and even a switch in publishers to Atari, but it looks like the game based on the classic 80’s film may just see the light of day in 2009. According to the official press release from Atari, the game will be released in 2009 to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the film, and was written by Ghostbusters alum Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd. Also lending their voice talents and likeness are cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson. The game will be available on Playstation 2 and 3, Xbox 360, PC, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Full press release after the jump.

A Next-gen Ghostbusters Game?
Posted by HCG Paco | Filed under News, Rumors
These videos up on YouTube surely seem to suggest it. AintItCoolNews.com broke the story and seem to think that this is some kind of Gears of War mod. But us hardcore gamers no that couldn’t be. Could it? There’s no way to mod it unless someone has an early copy of the rumored PC/Vista Gears of War. So is it more likely that this is a true licensed game or a fan mod using the Source engine? Is it even real? Who knows? It does look alot like the Unreal 3 Engine, that’s for sure. Either way, here’s to hoping we see Peter and the rest of the Ghostbusters in a new game soon. Especially if they draw inspiration from the “Real Ghostbusters” Cartoon, which was decidely darker than its celluloid brother.
