Yes, AWESOME. In all caps too. Definitely worth the preorder from Amazon.com especially when you look back at the value of some of the Resident Evil releases on previous generation consoles. Sure they fluctuate, but so do stocks. You just can’t be greedy and know when to sell or trade it.
As a proud owner of every single Resident Evil game ever made, excluding the $$$ Japanese imports, I couldn’t be happier to see them release a Collector’s Edition with “collector’s” actually in mind. This set is great looking, however the Japanese version did feature some rad trinkets missing from this set. Beggars can’t be choosers I suppose.

I’m a devout follower of the Joystick when it comes to my fighting games. Throughout the years though, I’ve had to shell out some serious ducats to import arcade-quality joysticks from Japan for nearly every console I own. While it was a nice change of pace not to have to import the recently released Soul Calibur 4 sticks from Hori, they still lack a level of quality that has been available to Japanese gamers for quite some time now.
Thankfully, MadCatz has taken on the task to produce one of the first true arcade-quality Joysticks for the US this February - just in time for The Return of the King - Street Fighter 4.

It is sad that there are times that the price paid for a game influences our tolerance level for crap. This of course, swings both ways though. So sometimes we pay too much for the same old s**t with a new bow on top and a fresh coat of paint (Madden) and it gets a “pass.” Other times we grab a much-hyped title and feel disappointed because we could’ve dropped $60 on something else, (Call of Duty: World At War - I’m looking at you.) but if we had paid $20 for that same title, we would’ve felt fine with the same purchase - just at less money. Almost an EPD or Enjoyment Per Dollar if you will.
Maybe you finall got an Xbox 360 for Xmas or you’ve got Grandma’s cash burning a hole in your pocket. Either way, here are my own personal 10 Xbox 360 titles under $20. Think about this when you read this list. Would you rather buy THREE (or FOUR) of these games or one new game? Just a thought.

Here is some s**t to get news for any Street Fighter fanboy. Capcom is offering a sweet collector’s edition version of Street Fighter IV, which is due to hit the shelves on Feb 17, 09. The set retails for $79.99 and features a bonus disc with a 65-minute full-length HD anime movie, the CD soundtrack, a “hint book” and 5 downloadable characters. The Xbox 360 version also includes a figurine of Crimson Viper, while the PS3 version comes with a figurine of Ryu. Check out a pic of the PS3 version after the jump.

With the holidays right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about that special hardcore gamer on your list. Hardcore gamers can be notoriously challenging to buy for. They likely own (or have in queue) every game on their wish list, and already know where to find the best geeky gadgets and toys. Your best bet is to buy a game-related gift that is thoughtful and personal. Think about their favorite game or genre of games that they play often, and start from there. At a loss as to where to take it next? Never fear, whether you are shopping for your gamer guy or gal, we have compiled a list of the coolest s**t to get for the hardcore gamer in your life this holiday season.

Here’s something I’m hoping to find under my Christmas tree this year. Valve’s website is offering a four pack of Left 4 Dead posters. The posters are replicas of the movie posters for each of the four campaigns in the game: No Mercy, Death Toll, Dead Air and Blood Harvest. The posters are 18 x 24 and will set you back about $15 bucks for the set. You can check them out at Valve’s site.

The Darkness wasn’t bad at all. It was a fun shooter with a well-told story and interesting mechanics. HCG Conq played this so much that he actually cracked the disc WHILE PLAYING IT. True story. Definitely worth $8.24 shipped + tax.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Target has The Darkness for $8.24 (including shipping) + Tax. But, you have to buy it from Target through Amazon, and when you get to the Amazon page you click the Target link, not the Amazon link to buy it, otherwise you’ll get charged full price. Just, kidding its not that complicated.
For real this time:
When you add it to your cart, ignore the price on the page and click the TARGET LINK not the Amazon link. This deal has to work this way or you’ll get charged full price.

Those geniuses over at Weta Collectibles are offering a pre-order on very sexy and anatomically accurate replica figurine of Cortana from the Halo series. The figurine is slated to be available by Spring of 2009, and Weta is not yet releasing how limited of a edition this will be. At $225, it’s not your average impulse buy, but for those of us who fantasize daily about the blue-ish/clear vixen, it’s a must-have. If you fit that description, and have some cash burning a whole in your pocket, get your butt over to Weta’s website, and grab one of these little honeys while you still can. More photos after the jump.

A couple of days ago we talked about the EA Dead Space Limited Edition of 1000 for $149. A ton of us bought it sight unseen, so here are some pics if you are still on the fence.

Once again, those crazy kids at RosenQueen.com have put together another swag-tastic pre-order bundle. While pre-order bundles frp, RQ in the past have been great, it looks like they’re planning to kick it up a gear and offer some real limited-quantity swag.
Pre-orders are now open for the Ar tonelico 2 “Sacred Army Set” which features not one, but TWO soundtracks and a low-print-run art book.
While you can pre-order AT2 from retail store such as EB/Gamestop, you can only recieve the second sountrack and artbook (with extra pages) through RosenQueen.com. Also, to make sure you get off your ass and pre-order, only 2,000 of the bonus soundtrack CD and Artbook are being printed.
While Ar Tornelico 2 is still a ways off (Mid-December to be exact), it’s probably not a bad idea to get your pre-order in early. For $39.99 + shipping this is a pretty hard deal to pass up.

If you are still in the market for a Halloween costume (the big day is only a month away!) check out this Ebay auction for a Bioshock Big Daddy costume. I’m pretty sure I saw this costume on a forum or game magazine last year for a Halloween video game costume contest, but can’t say for sure. The creator claims he won $500 in a costume contest with this getup last year.
